Terms of Service
Effective October 23, 2026 · Last updated October 23, 2026
Plain-English rules for using Electrical Exam Coach. The short version: it is exam prep only, one membership is for one person, all sales are final, and the monthly plan renews until you cancel.
1. This is a binding agreement
These Terms of Service (the "Terms") are a contract between you and Electrical Education International, Inc., doing business as Electrical Exam Coach("we," "us," or "our"). They cover electricalexamcoach.app, every page and lesson on it, the Pro Version, and any video, quiz, flashcard, download, email or other material we provide (together, the "Service").
By creating an account, checking the agreement box at checkout, buying a membership, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, our Disclaimer and our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which are part of these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a contract. If you accept these Terms for a company, school or other organization, you confirm you have authority to bind it, and "you" includes that organization.
Section 15 requires most disputes to be resolved by individual binding arbitration, not in court, and waives class actions and jury trials. You can opt out within 30 days. Please read it.
2. What the Service is, and what it is not
The Service is educational exam preparation for electrical licensing and certification exams. It is not electrical, engineering, legal or safety advice, and it does not train or qualify anyone to perform electrical work. See the Disclaimer.
- The Service does not award continuing education credit, hours, certificates of completion, or licenses.
- We are independent. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), the International Code Council (ICC), any exam provider or testing company, or any state or local licensing board. Our practice questions are written by us and are not actual exam questions.
- Code summaries on the Service are paraphrased in our own words. They do not replace the official code book, your jurisdiction's adopted edition, or local amendments.
- Passing any exam depends on you. We do not promise or guarantee any result.
3. Your account
- Give accurate information and keep your email address current.
- One membership is for one person. Do not share your login, password, or access with anyone, and do not let more than one person use your account. Group and company access is sold separately.
- Keep your password private and turn on two-factor sign-in when it is offered. You are responsible for all activity under your account. Tell us right away at electricalexamcoach@gmail.com if you think someone else has used it.
- We may limit the number of devices or sessions, and we may monitor account activity (for example, sign-in locations and unusual usage) to detect sharing, scraping and fraud.
4. Memberships, payments and automatic renewal
Pro Version plans, as shown at checkout:
- 1 Month (auto-recurring): charged when you sign up and automatically every 30 days after that until you cancel, at the price shown at checkout.
- 3 Month: one payment. It does not renew and ends 3 months after purchase.
- Lifetime and BIG BOSS Lifetime:one payment. "Lifetime" means for as long as we operate the Service and offer the Pro Version, not the lifetime of the buyer. It is not transferable.
Your authorization. By choosing the 1 Month plan, you authorize us and our payment processor to charge your payment method every 30 days, without further action from you, until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your Accountpage using the "Manage billing" option, or by emailing us. Cancelling stops future charges, and you keep access through the end of the period you already paid for.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
- Prices are in U.S. dollars and may change. A price change never applies to a period you already paid for. For a recurring plan, we will give you notice before a new price takes effect, and you can cancel before it does.
- You are responsible for any taxes that apply to your purchase.
- If a payment fails, we may pause or end your access until it is paid.
- All sales are final, as explained in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
5. Billing problems and chargebacks
If you think a charge is wrong, contact us first at electricalexamcoach@gmail.com or 423-895-3247, and we will look into it quickly. If you file a chargeback or payment dispute for a charge you authorized, we may suspend or end your account while it is open, and we will provide the processor with records of your purchase, your agreement to these Terms, and your use of the Service.
6. Your license to use the content
While your membership is active, we give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to view the content for your own exam study. You get a license to use it, not ownership of it. Everything not expressly granted in these Terms is reserved by us.
7. What you may not do
You agree not to, and not to help anyone else:
- share, sell, rent, or give away your account or access;
- copy, download, record, screen-capture, photograph, reprint, or redistribute any video, question, answer, explanation, flashcard, study guide, or other content, except as a feature of the Service plainly allows;
- post our questions, answers, or lessons online, in study groups, on social media, or anywhere else;
- use bots, scrapers, scripts, or automated tools to access or collect content, or use any content to train, build, or improve an artificial intelligence or machine-learning system;
- use the content to build, teach, or sell a competing course, class, or product;
- probe, scan, or test the security of the Service, get around any access control, or interfere with its operation;
- use the Service to cheat on, or to bring prohibited materials into, any exam, or break any exam provider's rules;
- harass or threaten anyone, or break any law while using the Service.
Breaking these rules can lead to immediate termination without a refund, and we may pursue every remedy available to us.
8. Ownership and trademarks
The Service and everything in it, including videos, questions, explanations, study guides, flashcards, text, graphics, design, and code, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. Electrical Exam Coach, Electrical Code Coach, and related names and logos are our trademarks.
NFPA 70®, National Electrical Code®, and NEC® are registered trademarks of the National Fire Protection Association. Other names belong to their owners. We use them only to identify the codes and exams our content helps you study for.
If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them without any obligation to you. To report content you believe infringes your copyright, email electricalexamcoach@gmail.com with the work, where it appears on the Service, and your contact information.
9. Other companies' services
The Service uses outside providers (for example, Stripe for payments and YouTube for some videos) and may link to other sites, such as our store or exam-provider pages. Those services have their own terms and policies, and we are not responsible for them.
10. Changes to the Service
We keep improving the Service and may add, change, update, or remove content, features, code cycles, or plans at any time. We do not promise the Service will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free. We may stop offering the Service or any part of it. If we shut down the Pro Version for good, Lifetime memberships end at that time, and we will try to give advance notice by email.
11. Suspension and termination
You can stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or end your access, without a refund, if we reasonably believe you broke these Terms, shared your account, misused the content, filed an improper chargeback, or put the Service or other users at risk. Sections that by their nature should survive (including ownership, payment obligations, disclaimers, limits on liability, indemnity, and dispute resolution) survive termination.
12. No warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service and all content are provided "as is" and "as available," with all faults and without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, completeness, or timeliness. Content may contain errors or omissions, may not reflect the code edition or local amendments adopted where you test or work, and may be prepared with the help of software tools, including artificial intelligence. We do not warrant that you will pass any exam or that the Service will meet your needs.
13. Limits on our liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Electrical Education International, Inc., its owners, officers, directors, employees, instructors, contractors, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any lost profits, lost wages, lost job or business opportunities, exam or retake fees, licensing delays, lost data, property damage, or personal injury, arising out of or related to the Service or these Terms, even if we were told they were possible.
Our total liability for all claims arising out of or related to the Service or these Terms will not exceed the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
These limits apply to every legal theory (contract, warranty, negligence, or otherwise) and are a basic part of the price you pay. Some places do not allow certain limits, so some of them may not apply to you, but they apply as far as the law allows.
14. Your responsibility to us
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Electrical Education International, Inc., Electrical Exam Coach, Electrical Code Coach, and their owners, officers, employees, instructors, and contractors from any claim, loss, liability, damage, cost, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use or misuse of the Service, any electrical work you or anyone acting with you performs, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or anyone else's rights.
15. Resolving disputes: arbitration and class-action waiver
Talk to us first. Before filing any claim, you agree to send a written description of the problem and the relief you want to electricalexamcoach@gmail.com. We will do the same for you, using the email on your account. Both sides agree to try in good faith to resolve it within 30 days.
Binding individual arbitration. If it is not resolved, any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms (including whether this section applies) will be resolved by final, binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, before a single arbitrator. The arbitration may be held by video or phone, or in Lake County, Florida, unless the arbitrator decides another location is fair. Fees are paid as those rules provide. The arbitrator's decision can be entered as a judgment in any court with jurisdiction. The Federal Arbitration Act governs this section.
Exceptions. Either side may bring an individual claim in small-claims court if it qualifies. And either side may ask a court for an order to stop infringement or misuse of intellectual property, account sharing, or unauthorized access to the Service.
You and we each waive the right to a jury trial and the right to bring or take part in any class, collective, consolidated, or representative action. Claims may be brought only on an individual basis.
Your right to opt out. You can reject this arbitration section by emailing electricalexamcoach@gmail.com within 30 days of first accepting these Terms, with your name, account email, and a clear statement that you opt out of arbitration. Opting out does not affect the rest of these Terms.
If part of this section fails. If the class-action waiver is found unenforceable for a claim, that claim goes to court, not arbitration, and the rest of this section still applies.
Time limit. To the extent the law allows, any claim must be brought within one year after it arises, or it is permanently barred.
16. Governing law and courts
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida and applicable federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. For any matter not sent to arbitration, you and we agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in or serving Lake County, Florida.
17. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We will post the new version here with a new date. If a change is material, we will also notify you by email or on the site before it takes effect. If you keep using the Service after the effective date, you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree, stop using the Service and cancel any recurring plan. A change will not apply to a dispute you notified us about before the change was posted.
18. General terms
- These Terms and the policies they mention are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service.
- If any part is found unenforceable, it will be enforced as far as allowed and the rest stays in effect.
- If we do not enforce a right right away, we have not given it up.
- You may not transfer your account or these Terms. We may transfer them as part of a merger, sale, or reorganization.
- We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
- You agree that we may communicate with you electronically, and that electronic agreements, notices, and records satisfy any requirement that they be in writing.
- Headings are for convenience only.
